Making the best of it

Today after breakfast we went with our friends Note and Joe into downtown Narita which was adorable in a touristy sort of way.

It definitely caters to the stranded traveller here with a bar called "The Jetlag Club".  We found the temple and were crushed to find the complex not only breathtaking but totally enormous making the hour we had to spend there devastatingly inadequete.  But we relished every moment on the trails surrounding the main temple.

The smell of incense was everywhere and every pond was crawling with little turtles and coy.

Well, the coy were swimming, more than crawling, really.
After lunch we repack our bags and head back to the dreadful Narita International Airport.  Unless I get bored there, the next time you hear from me we should be safely in Bangkok!
More good news - our travel insurance covering all of the expenses we're incurring as a result of our delay!  yay!

I hope you're able to make it down into Tokyo! It would be shame to miss a wander around Shinjuku and Shibuya!
